Brazilian track to be demolished

The Jacarepagua Circuit, now better known as Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet, on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, which hosted 10 Grands Prix, is likely to be demolished. The track, which hosted formula one races between 1978 and 1989, has to make room as Rio wants to become the first South American city to host the Olympic Games in 2016.
