Mercedes seeking to increase McLaren stake

According to the German magazine 'Auto Motor und Sport', Mercedes is seeking to increase its stake in the McLaren F1 Team and associated companies. Speculations about this topic have been going on for a while now, but Mercedes still refuses to confirm the story.

A Mercedes spokesperson declared to newsagency 'Reuters': "The status quo has not changed at all. Daimler still holds 40 percent of the McLaren Group. We ask for your understanding that we will not comment on speculation beyond this."
