Williams regrets BMW split

Sir Frank Williams, Team Principal of the Williams F1 Team, admitted that he regrets that his team has split with BMW. From 2000 to 2005, BMW supplied engines to Williams. In 2005, BMW bought Sauber and founded the BMW Sauber F1 Team. Williams switched to customer engines, first with Cosworth and then with Toyota.

In an interview in this month's issue of 'F1 Racing' magazine, Sir Williams answered on the question whether he regrets the split with BMW: "Yes, I think so. They were very hard work when they were our partner, but they were a brilliant brand and they were very good with their engines The relationship might have been better if we'd been able to communicate with each other a little more softly."
