Scuderia Toro Rosso STR5 Ferrari

Scuderia Toro Rosso STR5 image

Active: 01-02-2010 - 2010
Team: Scuderia Toro Rosso

Team: Franz Tost (TP), Giorgio Ascanelli (TD)
Drivers: Sebastian Buemi (16), Jaime Alguersuari (17)

The STR5 is the first car of Toro Rosso that the team is building and designing itself. As the team was using the Red Bull RB5 in 2009 however, there was no need to panic. While still hiring staff in the early months of 2010, the team refrained from making massive changes and limited itself to adapting to the regulation changes.

Surprisingly, the STR5 is looking nearly identical to the RB5, also known as the Scuderia Toro Rosso STR4. It really is a considerable achievement that the outer shape is nearly unchanged after fitting a twice as large fuel tank in the car.
