The BMW P86/8 power unit in Nick Heidfeld's car is the next engine on the Formula One grid to be inspected by the FIA, this will be done prior to the Japanese Grand Prix. And this comes as no surprise, as the FIA is simply checking to make sure that all engine manufacturers comply to the current powertrain freeze under the current sporting regulations. Other engines which have been previously inspected have been from Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari.
