FOTA plans to shake up GP Friday

By on

Formula One teams are considering a radical shake-up of the Grand Prix weekends. The new plans of the F1 teams are part of their plans to revitalize the sport. One of the new FOTA alliance's possible proposals is to replace the Friday free practice sessions by a special, shootout-like, timed session for a cash prize which would be $1 million.

Discussions on the proposal took place during the FOTA-meeting at Singapore and will continue at Japan and China.
