The Renault F1 Team has been allowed to make changes to their engine. Despite the freeze on engine development, the team will be allowed to make changes to their power unit in 2009 after an unanimous agreement was reached between the teams.

A statement of the FIA read: "Unanimous agreement was reached on a list of proposed changes to the Renault engine for 2009; all other engines will remain unchanged."

The news isn't only good news for the French outfit but for Red Bull Racing as well as they use the Renault engines.
