Veritas

Based in: Messkirch (1948-49), Nurburgring (1950-56) Founded: 1948 (active 1952-1953) Principal: Ernst Loof

Veritas was formed by BMW engineers Ernst Loof and Lorenz Dietrich to build BMW- based sports cars (RS) and then single seaters (Meteor). Financial problems in 1950 moved the firm to a small workshop at the Nurburgring but it finally closed in 1953 when Loof returned to BMW.
