F1 still possible for 2009 - Bruno Senna

By on

After battling all season long against main rival Giorgio Pantano in the GP2 series, Bruno Senna completed the 2008 season in second place. Which is not bad since it is his second season participating in the highly competitive series, and his achievement only gives him more hope for a possible place in a Formula One race team for the 2009 season.

Senna recently spoke to 'Reuters' and had this to share, "Obviously, I had a great season in GP2, it was a season with a few highs and few lows but good enough to finish second. And I guess it gave me good possibilities to go to Formula One next year.

So there are a few opportunities as a race driver, a few as a test driver...but there is a lot of competition and I need to come ahead of the competition right now on the negotiations and see if I can get a race drive."

The young Brazilian also remains close to Toro Rosso and says that he is still in talks with close family friend and team co-owner Gerhard Berger for a possible driving position.
