New aero bigger factor in overtaking than KERS - Willis

In 2009 the most significant factor that will most likely increase overtakings will be the new aerodynamic regulations, which aim to greatly reduce downforce levels, says RBR technical director Geoff Willis. Since he predicts that teams will fine tune their KERS system usage, thus reducing the advantage over one another early on.

"I think the teams will soon learn how to use and optimise the KERS, but it won't help overtaking so much," Willis told 'Autosprint'. While adding, "The new aerodynamics regulations will be the biggest factor at changing racing by creating new overtaking opportunities."
