Only days left to rescue the British GP warns Ecclestone

The deadline for the Silverstone circuit to sign onto the 2010 F1 calendar is closing upon them extremely soon FOM boss Bernie Ecclestone has warned. So soon actually that the legendary British circuit only has a few days to make a decision, but so far owners the BRDC (British Racing Drivers Club) have not taken the necessary action to secure the British GP.

"They say there is not much between us and them, so they should sign. Maybe they have lost their pen, but if they don't find it in the next day or two then that is it," 'The Daily Express' quoted Ecclestone as saying.

While sounding off with a threatening statement, "I will pull the race off the calendar and there will be no British Grand Prix to argue about."

The reason for all this being that Donington didn't meet the necessary deadlines to hold on to the GP for 2010.
