Snow-white January for BMW Sauber

Today, the BMW Sauber F1 Team commenced its first test of 2006. At Jerez de la Frontera Nick Heidfeld took to the track in a snow-white Sauber C24B. Less than a week before the official launch of the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

Less than a week before the official launch of the BMW Sauber F1 Team at Valencia, where the new car for the 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship will be presented to the public, Nick continued the team‘s preparation programme in the interim car. The German completed a total of 56 laps of the 4.428 kilometre track. He set a personal best of 1:18.827 minutes. This earned him fifth place on the timesheets, with McLaren‘s Pedro de la Rose setting the fastest lap of the day (1:16.496 minutes). Until the launch of the new car and livery on 17th January, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will contest the tests with an all-white car.
