Doornbos rocks Birmingham

Last Saturday Robert Doornbos attended the annual Autosport International show in Birmingham, where the Red Bull Racing Team had organised a busy programm around their newly signed test and reserve driver.

After having given an 30 minute interview at the Autosport central stage for a massive crowd at 10:30h, Doornbos went back to the Red Bull Energy Station, where a queue of people had already formed to get an autograph from the 24 year old Dutchman. After a short lunchbreak, the dutchman made a stage appearance at the Action Arena together with Sporting Director Christian Horner, before the duo was questioned by F1 Racing’s Matt Bishop about their prospects for 2006 at the live grid. As soon as this was finished both Doornbos and Christian Horner rushed to the Go-Kart Arena where the two men had to take it up against ten pricewinners from the Red Bull Track Attack contest. And as you most probably already guessed, Robert took both pole position and racewin. Finally, the busy day was awarded with a team dinner in the center of Birmingham.
