BAR and Brunotti extend partnership

As Lucky Strike BAR Honda begins an intensive winter testing period to prepare for the 2004 season, it is pleased to announce that it has extended its partnership with Brunotti, the sportswear manufacturer based in the Netherlands.

Brunotti has also taken the opportunity to ramp up its involvement with BAR in 2004, by not only continuing to produce the team’s travel and factory wear, but also manufacturing a complete range of race and test team clothing for the Brackley-based outfit.

BAR and Brunotti began their partnership in 2002, with Brunotti using the F1 team to enhance its image as a manufacturer of fashionable, top-quality sportswear. Such has been the success of the programme, boosted by the team’s image re-launch at the start of the 2003 season, that Brunotti has decided to extend and develop its relationship beyond the original contract term.

In addition to producing BAR’s teamwear, Brunotti will also retain its distinctive livery on the wing mirrors of the BAR Honda 006, as well as the team and drivers’ clothing.

David Richards, BAR Team Principal, commented: “We are delighted that Brunotti has committed its future involvement in Formula One to BAR and F1 is the perfect environment for Brunotti to showcase its high-tech textile development.”

Brunotti Managing Director, Henk Bergsma, added: “Two years ago we started sponsoring BAR to increase brand awareness of Brunotti all over the world. We also wanted to create growth in our export markets. After two seasons, we are happy to say that these goals are being achieved. Moreover, being responsible for the complete BAR team and factory wear is a fantastic project!”
