The Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team has confirmed the launch date for its brand-new F1 challenger with which it will enter the 2021 FIA Formula One season.
The Silverstone-based team, that has been rebranded from Racing Point to the Aston Martin F1 Team for 2021, will take the cover off its new car on March 3 in a virtual live event. The presentation will take place at 15:00 GMT.
The team will enter the new season with a fresh identity due to the return of Aston Martin. The iconic luxury British sports car manufacturer will make its return to the pinnacle of motorsport this year after sixty years away from the sport.
Aston Martin previously entered F1 in 1959, leaving the sport after the 1960 season. Their first spell in F1 was less successful as they failed to score any points.
The Silverstone-based squad will field a new driver line-up this year. While Lance Stroll will stay with the team, four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel will join the British outfit after leaving Scuderia Ferrari at the end of last year.
