Williams Racing renews its partnership with Financial Times

Williams Racing has announced a renewal of the team’s partnership agreement with the Financial Times ahead of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship season.

The two companies started their partnership in 2019 and the announcement means it will enter its third season. Williams said in its announcement that combining of marketing assets has enabled the Grove-based outfits’s commercial partners access to integrated sponsorship and advertising solutions.

The two parties, Williams and the FT will continue to work together on the successful Sports Innovators Series, launched in 2020 as a forum to discuss the areas of sport undergoing significant transformation. Signalling the partnership, the Financial Times logo will also remain on the team’s Formula One cars during the 2021 Formula One World Championship.

Commenting on the extension of the agreement, Tim Hunt, Commercial and Marketing Director for Williams Racing said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our relationship with the Financial Times for the 2021 season. Working with the FT helps bolster our core offering to partners and gives us further outreach as a team on a global scale.

The Grove-based outfit also confirmed OMP Racing as an Official Supplier of technical performance products for the 2021 Formula One season and beyond.

OMP Racing, which is a world leader in the design and manufacture of safety components for race cars and technical racing apparel, will be supplying performance racing items to Williams’ drivers, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi, as well as the Williams pit crew.

The company, which is located near Genoa, Italy, will manufacturer performance racing overalls, boots, gloves and underwear for the British outfit.

Commenting on the announcement, Hunt said: “OMP Racing is one of the leading suppliers of high-tech performance wear for top level motorsport and we are delighted to have agreed a new multi-year partnership with them.

„In Formula One, every detail matters and we know that OMP’s technology, whether it is being worn by our race drivers and pit crew, or fitted in our car, will help our team perform to the highest level.”
