Ahead of the European leg of the current F1 season, the final trailer for the F1 The Movie that is set to hit cinemas from 25 June internationally and 27 June in North America, has been released.

The F1 The Movie has been created by the filmmakers of Top Gun: Maverick, directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, alongside Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner and Chad Oman. The movie is starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.

The movie began production in 2023 and was granted unprecedented access to various F1 Grands Prix to underpin its authenticity, with all F1 drivers, teams, the FIA, race promoters, and the wider F1 community helping bring the production to life.

The launch of the final F1 The Movie trailer comes following last weekend's Miami Grand Prix where the full artist line-up for the soundtrack of the upcoming movie was released, featuring international and award-winning artists including Ed Sheeran, ROSÉ, Burna Boy and Tate McRae.

The first single from the F1 The Movie soundtrack, Lose My Mind, was also released in Miami, featuring multi-platinum rapper and singer-songwriter Don Toliver, and GRAMMY Award-winning, multiplatinum star Doja Cat, alongside the music video. This was followed a week later by the second single, Messy, by K-Pop sensation Rosé, who was also present in Miami.

The trailer combines the exhilaration of F1 with the compelling fictional story of former F1 driver Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt. Dubbed ‘the greatest that never was’, Sonny Hayes was among F1‘s most promising phenoms of the 1990s until a major accident.

30 years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes, owner of a struggling F1 team on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He drives alongside Joshua Pearce, the team’s hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace.

But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him and he finds that in F1, your teammate is your fiercest competition – and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.
