Glock hopes for successful future

In addition to Sebastian Vettel, the BMW Sauber F1 Team has signed another promising young driver: Timo Glock. The 24-year-old isn't a Formula One newcomer and as test driver, he wants to contribute to the team's success in the 2007 season.

Timo gathered his first Formula One experience back in 2004 when racing for Eddie Jordan's team. In his maiden F1 race, the 2004 Canadian Grand Prix, he scored two points. The German has fond memories of those days, however, he is fully focussed on the present time and -even more so- the future. "I hope that I'm able to make use of this chance offered by the BMW Sauber F1 Team, thus building a future for myself," says Glock. "Obviously, it still is my ultimate goal to fight for the World Championship some day. But for the time being it's about regaining ground in Formula One for me."

Apart from executing his tasks as BMW Sauber F1 Team test driver, Timo will also contest some races this year. Having finished third in the 2006 GP2 Series, he wants to clinch the title this year. Nevertheless, his top priority will be to support the BMW Sauber F1 Team on its way to closing the gap to the top teams in 2007. "I hope that I'll be abl to give 100 percent in every single test," he says. "I want to focus on perfectly preparing the cars for Nick and Robert, thus helping them to start their GP weekends from the best possible initial position."
