First day at Honda for Wurz

The Honda Racing F1 Team commenced its 2008 testing programme at the Valencia circuit in Spain today. New Test and Reserve Driver Alex Wurz kicked off the running for his first outing with the team. Alex drove the RA107 as he began his acclimatisation to the team’s procedures, completing 51 laps over the day.

Rubens Barrichello will take over the test programme tomorrow morning. Takashi Kogure will also be in action on Wednesday having been rewarded with a drive in the Honda RA107 as part of the Formula Dream Project in Japan through which Honda supports and develops promising young drivers.
