Schumacher welcomes Massa

Micheal Schumacher has responded on the switch of Felipe Massa from Sauber to Ferrari. The world champion said : "I am happy for Felipe. In my view he deservesthis change as he is doing a good job since quite a while now. We have seen his talent lately in F1 but alsowhen he was testdriver for us. And we have not been the only ones who were interested in him."

The German, happy with his new teammate is however happy to have worked with Rubens at Ferrari since 2000 and hopes he can continue his successes with his next team: "With Rubens I shared a nice time and a lot of beautiful memories. I wish him all the best in his new team".

Rubens Barrichello is still expected to sign for the BAR Honda team, but there is still no certainty about it. What is certain is that it will be a contract for a period longer than the remainder of his Ferrari contract. The Italian team have helped Rubens with a switch as he apparently was set to leave at the end of this year.

An announcement on his new contract is expected in the following days or weeks.
