Sato 10-place penalty at Brazil

BAR Honda's Takuma Sato faces an uphill battle in Brazil following his exit in the Belgian Grand Prix. Already due to run second in the Qualifying session, he's now been slapped with a 10-place penalty on the grid.

Sato hit the rear wheel of Michael Schumacer in the La Sourve, forcing both drivers to retire from the race.
Takuma Sato "With cold tyres and brakes, it was very difficult to stop the car and unfortunately, I touched the back of him. Obviously, I am disappointed that we could not deliver a good result."
Race stewards spoke to both drivers after the race and ruled that Sato should drop 10 places on the grid at his next race.

BAR Honda's team boss, Nick Fry, was quick to support his driver.
"He simply locked up and hit the back of Michael. It was simply unfortunate. Under these conditions it's obviously very difficult and he is clearly quite upset."

Michael Schumacher was less friendly for Sato.
"We've often experienced Hara-Kiri reactions from him in the past and that was another one on Sunday. I don't know what sort of therapy might help him."
