Hamilton ends German Friday on top

During the second free practice session of the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, McLaren Meredes driver and reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton was the fastest man on track. The Briton was followed by home hero Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull and Brawn GP's Jenson Button.

Sebastian Vettel made up for the time lost in the morning due to an electrical problem and was second fastest, just ahad of Jenson Button. The second Red Bull of Mark Webber was only a tenth down on his teammate.

In the rear end of the field, both Toro Rosso drivers were struggling again, while Giancarlo Fisichella crashed out early in the session at a time when some raindrops fell.
