A bit of history (sorry if already posted earlier in the thread) - Spa in 1955.
Just 13 cars - small grids aren't a modern thing, and team orders - not just hand over your place but hand over your car. Some things don't change, it seems.
What does change is the safety and overall standards in place. Time for the race? Sure, drive your car through the town's streets, over cobbles, to the track itself. Safety? Well, we put a small straw bale here and there. What? You want more?!! People wandering on the track during the race with cars passing at full speed. Mechanics working on cars with others racing by no more than few feet away. Quite amazing. Love the commentary, too.
Turbo says "Dumpster sounds so much more classy. It's the diamond of the cesspools." oh, and "The Dutch fans are drunk. Maybe"
