Barring a few spins he has looked immense from most of the onboards I've seen, super smooth and consistent.

Pirelli has asked Formula 1 teams to try a special Zandvoort prototype front tyre in next week's second Barcelona test, ahead of its possible deployment at the Dutch GP.

Teams will try the C2 compound in Spain next week, and if the decision to use the prototype tyre is eventually confirmed, it will be deployed across all three race weekend compounds.

To be honest, Red Bull and Mercedes both look great when on higher fuel runs. Both of them on rails and always very early on the power.

I heard it also went ‘are you fastest?’ No. ‘Are you second fastest?’ No.

Also you can tell from someone if they are sandbagging or genuine when you talk to them face to face.

Looks like everyone had better hope the Red Bull is strong.

Yes, I watched all this live and that was said as well. About not being first or second fastest.

The whole thing was a total bombshell of bad information if you are a Ferrari fan, or a neutral fan who would like to see someone other than Lewis Hamilton win all the poles, races, and another free world championship.

Presumably this is a "banked track" tyre to deal with the Indy-style corner.

Sorry I'm going off what I read on another forum, he basically didn't really say anything of note just that he's not worried by anything Mercedes are doing.
