Aston Martin AMR24

Any signs of flow separation? I don't trust my judgement.
yep - but at Monaco that's not a disastrous thing, you can have a surprising amount of separation on a wing before it's at peak downforce. It's just quite draggy.

How I read it - and it'd be easier under a UV light - if you look at the wing you see a thin band on the flap where there doesn't look to be any flowvis - this is the transition bubble between laminar and turbulent flow regimes. Then the flowvis gets a bit speckly but still has striations - that's turbulent. Finally mid-way up the sponsor there's another thin band where the recirculation has settled the paint a bit then it's whispy and speckly but no longer has linear striations - also behind the centreline and the DRS actuator there's a V of loss.

Just love how close to the ground the car looks in this shot.

The diffuser photos by Xavier are for RB20, not AMR24

The Silverstone team must get out of a conjuncture phase: the new package brought to Imola did not work compared to expectations. In Montreal the front wing with the V in the two upper flaps and a bottom that has been revised to correct the defects that emerged in Italy. Fallows looks for a balance that AMR24 lacks.

Compared to the original version, the one brought to Canada has the last element that has been revised in the slightly increased rope on the exit edge since the addition of a nolder that was not there in Italy. Although the Montreal track would require a medium-low load setup, in Aston Martin looking for that missing aerodynamic balance with a slightly more impactful solution.
