I don't see the hot side of turbo in the image, too deep down inside the front end of gearbox case / rear structural monocoque.
Cadillac really does have a lot of cool ideas. That mirror stay is incredibly cool. I haven’t seen any other team manage to get such a long strake out of it, and especially not one placed along the slope of the sidepod to reduce vortex formation.Brahmal wrote: ↑29 Jun 2026, 01:22https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_ ... x2842.jpeg

More likely to induce a vortex to keep the flow attached around the shoulder of the sidepod.bananapeel23 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2026, 08:51Cadillac really does have a lot of cool ideas. Of course it sheds a vortex, but by placing it alongside the sloped outer edge of the sidepod, the pressure is allowed to escape both upwards and downwards. As a result you shed a weaker vortex from the edge of the mirror stay.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2026, 16:28More likely to induce a vortex to keep the flow attached around the shoulder of the sidepod.bananapeel23 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2026, 08:51Cadillac really does have a lot of cool ideas. Cool to see wool tuft aero testing. Old fashioned tech in a modern setting.![]()
