The only thing which is worth a WOW is that Sauber is thinking to have a rim which needs to be hidden from the rivals

It's so people don't steal the image that he doesn't own of course!

But yes it's just a wheel cap that's been cable-tied on.

Sorry guys, i have been wrong with that image...
So, why they cover the rims with carbon disk? It's the first time that i see some thing like this... What's the utility of it?

EDIT:
Ok, it's for the pit stop training (source: Piola)

As for the DRD they tested yesterday, please note that it's not because of the effectiveness of the DRD that the team were trying a big rear wing with it. In fact it is exactly the other way around. With a shallow with, the pressure underneath the wing is not dropping far enough to get the DRD to switch on, whereas a big wing with high AoA does exactly that.

The team ran its DRD at Monza only for data gathering and never intended to run it during the race. It's just that you have these nice long straights at Monza where you can do some aero runs during FP ;)

@emmepi Shields like these are not new, but even for pitstop practice look rather useless to me.

So other than the fully ramped coanda exhaust that they introduced a few races ago what changes have there been made to the car that people know about or that are rumoured to have been made recently? Trying to figure out the reason for the Sauber cars recent turn of speed

From ESPN F1:
Kaltenborn explained that Sauber's improvement has stemmed from a revision of the exhaust system at the rear of the car.

"The aero balance of the car was not stable, especially during braking and turning in," she said. "Apart from the measurable implications, the side effect was that the drivers had less confidence in the C32. In addition, we didn't have the resources to quickly modify the car. Instead, this process happened step by step.

"The largest update we brought was in Hungary, where we implemented a modified exhaust concept. We already saw a significant improvement back then, but, of course, it took some time until we were able to get the most out of that. In addition, our understanding of the car improved, which translated to a better set-up. Furthermore, we were able to maintain the high level of quality producing the parts back at the factory. The whole team, in the factory and at the track, did an outstanding job."

The Sauber upgrade coincided with the change back to 2012 construction tyres, which Kaltenborn said had also helped with performance.

"It's not easy to pinpoint that as we brought our largest update at the exact same time. However, I believe in general the tyres helped, which was the opposite last year."
