Bear in mind they’re also saying ‘40’ - it’s pretty unlikely anything is going to be as round a number as that (we always hear that x new engine brings 15 or 20 extra bhp - funny how it’s always a round number!) - so I think it’s safe to assume it’s a ballpark estimate.

Also, seems the opposite of ‘strange’ that it would disappear in the race - stands to reason that the one lap, no charge mode is unreproducable in a race where some charging will always be needed.

Yeah if there is no charge left in the battery, I assume the car would just be running on ICE power? Which would be down quite a lot.

Yes, but this should be ice power plus harvesting from mgu-h to mgu-k without using the battery. It's also been discussed this is about 70 kW already.
But just suppose it weren't hypothetical.

Not sure if this is allowed but a small side track to show a history behind the front wing concept taken by Ferrari. It all started in Spa-francorchamps in 2015.

So sticking to the first picture, It's the same concept run by the current 2019 car, so to let the car run fast in the straight and high speed corners with reduced (low) drag but sweeping the main section upwards to exploit the Y-250(Y-1250 now due to the wing shape and size now) section to allow for minimum loss of down force. This worked for Ferrari somewhat mainly due to the inner footplate section near the endplates of the wing which featured multiple arches with multiple profiles creating a tunnel, which provided a stronger outwash around the tyres reducing tyre wake but allowing to generate enough downforce for this wing to work. Obviously back then Ferrari's power unit was not the best. Not sure if this was the basis, but the current car can't exploit this due the regulation restricting the front wing from having just 5 profiles(Main plane and four flaps) and as the regulation outlaws these tunnels, vertical fins and cascades connected to the end plate and main plane the same concept used by Ferrari in 2015 now loses out on the downforce generated from the outwash tunnel(Near the endplates) as well as the outwash itself from this and the cascade and the vertical fins. Along with this the under wing strakes is limited to 2 per side which again limits the out-wash allowed thus the current wing is as shown below.

This basically means that any outwash potential this wing has is purely pre-conditioned flow (Simulation control), as in the outwash is assisted by the airflow itself right before the tyres and from the 4 flaps with the help of the 2 strakes in the wing, contrary to before when actual wing parts such as cascade and fins do this which is know as controlled (Basically asking the flow of air itself to act as a mechanism for creating the outwash effect, rather than using actual parts to do the outwash work). This is risky as this is rather hard to understand as correlation issues between the windtunnel and cfd simulation and the real track can cause major problems in predicting how the flow from the wings can actually create this outwash (Even simple effects as the wheel turning can change the behaviour of the flow depending on the position of the tyre). This focus mean there is also a risk of carrying too little downforce in the front wing which can(And was) causing aero balance issues which everyone here understands already as it is constantly talked about. A risky strategy like this was averted by teams like Racing point, Mclaren and Renault with their Half-way house solution and completely by Mercedes, Haas and Red Bull to focus partially and fully for pure downforce with less effort in this outwash. It's now up to Ferrari to find the right balance as they slowly get their wing closer to produce more downforce since France but need to also work on their out wash(Thus that small insert in the footplate). But there is a lot of potential in understanding the car and setting it up then actual modifications. Well need to see what happens next and see if Ferrari can understand their car.

They are experimenting with the gearbox tunnel exit. In one of the pictures I posted earlier it is round, in this shot it is 'dented'.

Binotto specified that a bit, problem with the intercooler so most likely a loss of boost pressure.
You could hear a subtle bang on the onboard.
Very similar to Malaysia 2017.

From what I understand, no; if they were to change components tomorrow then they would only be up number 3 for all of the big ones and that wouldn’t serve any real purpose as you’re already allowed 3.

Maybe they could fit a new energy store since I think they’re already on their last one.
