I think Ferrari will be disappointed not to get Pole here - more so than any track we've been to so far.
I'm going to go out on what I believe is a pretty stout limb and say that Ferrari will not get a pole this year unless it's penalty aided or where Hamilton is unable to compete in Q3 due to mechanical issues.
Unless Ferrari can copy that "qualy mode" engine map I agree with you.

I say it every year but it's so dumb that this is a night race now. Sorry. IMO.

But I'm excited for a good one, and only a week after China 8) :D
Another dumb thing is to organize a race during Easter holidays... #-o

I think Pole and 3rd position are the better starting positions for the race, as 2nd place will be on the more dirty and dusty side of the track.

Why? The majority of the world, including the hosts, aren't Christians (active or not).

Compared to the dumbness of pushing F1 on to pay-to-view globally, an Easter race is a minor mess up.

Actually the majority of the world is Christian, 31.5% followed by Islam on 23.2% and irreligion on 16.3%

As I don't follow religion, the fact it's over a bank holiday weekend is probably better for me and I'm sure that's the same for many others. I don't really think it matters either way.

Sorry to be pedantic, but if 31.5% of the world are Christian, then the majority (the remaining 68.5%) are not Christian.

It about being on holidays so you are not at home, in my case because of this I won´t be able to watch the race. Ok, I can´t complain to much(at least i have holidays), but I am sure that the audicience in countries were people celebrate Ester holidays wil be lower, and I am sure this is something FIA and Liberty don´t like.

Most of the traditional F1 fans live in Christian countries so yes, it has an influence.

The biggest group is Christian. But you are right. Nevertheless, if you count the heads in regions, where there is interest in F1, you may seet that the majority ist Christian. But I didn't check the stats.

Thiis really OT here but these data taken from wikipedia are not so univocal...for instance they report around 6% of chinese traditional religion.
but other estimates quantify the absolute number of people following CTR to be > 1 bilion...but the whole earth population has not surpassed 10 bilion...so something is wrong

Er, no, the majority are "not Christian" as I said. For Christians to be the majority they would need to be more than 50% of the total population, which they're not.

"All these experts" indeed. #-o

Actually the Easter weekend is perfect for a race for us Aussie's as we usually end up watching the non-asian races on Monday nights rather than stay up till 2 am in the morning on Sunday and be useless for work.

So having the day off to watch F1 is awesome. The only downside to me personally is I'm an IT contractor so I don't get paid for public holidays. :(

Absolutely, as a Christian I'll be able to Follow FP1 & 2 from the comfort of my lounge without having to take leave and when I overindulge on Sunday celebrating a a Ferrari victory I won't have to worry about the Monday hangover.

Again, compared to the push to global pay-to-view, which will reduce numbers massively, it's a small blip.
