So, ICE power.

From this video:

It looks like the Astons are about 4.5% down in top speed while on ICE alone, compared to most others. Feel free to derive a more precise delta if you wish. That is good enough for government work, me thinks.

Assuming equal drag and with power drag changing with the cube of speed, we get that the Astons ICe delivers about 87.1% of th epower of the average other car.
13% deficit on ICE alone. Not quite the 100 HP rumored, but a lot! Is that like 65 HP?
They'd of course also be missing durng acceleration...
it seems like theyve had a pretty good idea about hp numbers since about 2 races in. whoever "they" are. i wonder what they say about average HP per lap with deployment/charging going on.
So that is an interesting question. I think I'd like to know how much each PU manufacturer recharge in a lap. In quali, any given lap of a race and the average recharge during all the laps of a race. It should be something in live timing but it's not.
yeah the complete absence of any data on batteries during races is pretty surprising. i wonder if they decided not to show it because itd show how much advantage some engines have over others. instead theyre just keeping everybody in the dark. this season is the weirdest that i can remember.

For the first time in years, if ever, I get the feeling Lance might leave F1....I think he'd do really well in WEC or similar.

Not sure why you say that, AMR F1 are running Button in WEC this year. So they're already in both.

Button is not driving in WEC. He's retired. AMR F1 and Stroll don't have anything to do with the Valkyrie at Le Mans. That project is funded entirely by the heart of racing (THOR). They may have used some technical support to design the car and that's it. The ongoing operations and race team are funded by THOR, not Stroll.

Aston Martin is the manufacturer and co-owner of the racing program. The team is officially named the Aston Martin THOR Team, reflecting a deep partnership where Aston Martin provides the Valkyrie hypercar (developed from their road-legal hypercar) and THOR (The Heart of Racing) operates the team.

Manufacturer Role: Aston Martin produces the Valkyrie LMH chassis and engine, which is the only Hypercar derived from a road-legal production car.
Operational Role: The Heart of Racing (THOR) manages the day-to-day racing operations, logistics, and driver lineup.
Ownership: The program is a joint effort, with Aston Martin retaining its identity as the car's builder while leveraging THOR's endurance racing expertise.

Now if it's AMR, AMR F1, AML or AM I don't know but it's one of them.

Sorry not sure where I got the Button thing.

Is this some kind of AI response? I follow this championship and sportscar racing closely, including reading all the insider bits. The role of Aston Martin (and all of its hydra heads) is very little in this project. Gabe Newell is owner of THOR. He is a billionaire. This is his passion project. He obtained the license from AMR to use the Valkyrie and turn it into a hypercar. Without him, there is no Aston Martin Valkyrie racing anywhere with any other team. This is not Stroll or AMR's project. It's a THOR project. They are paying for all of it.
