I'm just surprised Red Bull are not making more noise about this, esp. Mekies should be putting pressure on the FIA every week. What an absurd situation.

This is where Horner's absence is really felt. He would have raised such a stink, that liberty would've stepped in and removed the ADUO from Mercedes and given to Redbull, rightly so (FIA is a puppet anyway).

Red Bull are missing the combination of Horner and Wheatley. Wheatley is the guy who knows the rulebook in his sleep, and would have played the same game with the PU that Mercedes have.

Horner would have made sure from race 1 to constantly talk about the advantage Mercedes has.

It will continue not to go their way unless the FIA changes the measurement process. Of which there is no info of.

I think it's clear that Red bull miscalculated the PU ranking, they let their engine run at that level because they believed Mercedes were still stronger, the curveball was that Mercedes hiding their ICE strength/having vastly superior ERS.

They should have played it safer in hindsight, Mekies is saying we'll see what happens after the 2nd PU measurement in Hungary, but I don't have much hope the rankings will change.

Red Bull will bring a small update package to the RB22 in Hungary, with any larger upgrades expected after the summer break before development shifts to the RB23 for 2027. The RB23 is the car with which Red Bull hopes to take another step forward in 2027
