Re: HRT 2012

esp, make no bones about it..ALL teams have started to work on the 2013 contender already.HRT is late and will stay late as they are recource restricted more than others as they have to first build a facility to work from ...is it possible to start the new car now? Why not .You need not much more than one or two good design engineers who work on the general archictecture and concept .the big issue is they again have not much in terms of information from last years car ,and this years as well as they just had to make it work somehow.
dokumentation? abit of data collected in those four races but how do you translate this into a next years car -when you are 4 seconds of the pace.
Obviously the main parts of the puzzle are not far off :engine ,gearbox ,tyre, brake is close enough for scoring points so you need to analyse where you lose these 4 % and didg in where you think you can gain most for the buck spent.

A serious question, who would be viable alternatives to Karthikeyan?

The whole GP2 grid, Sutil, Alguersuari. Pretty much anyone that has the money available

Agreed Wesley, anyone would be better than Narain.

Id love Jamie, but again in a recent interview he said he wouldn't join HRT, Would Sutil join with his sponsors?

I'd love either but I just see Dani Clos in the seat next.

why do you hate this guy so much? people obviously don't know his capability.. see his results in A1GP and most recently in superleague formula in brands hatch with equal cars on the grid , he had a full 15 sec advantage to second place. its just a suggestion to get a "lil" facts right.though i am not saying he is WDC material.

A1GP is hardly a benchmark. The problem for Karthikeyan is that on race pace he's anything up to 1s a lap slower than De La Rosa. HRT will get no valuable data from his car if he's that slow.

There is no hate towards Narain, it just he is not capable of delivering what is needed, he seems to be struggling this year more than any.

he is seen as one to be able to deliver-why else would they have signed him?

just look at Timo Glock ,Trulli or Kovalainen it is very very difficult to show your talent under these circumstances..on the other hand better F1 in a sub standard car than nothing at all...

I agree, but rumours of Sponsorship not willing to pay again, akin to 2011, why would HRT do the same mistake again, a few sponsors last year like Speed and Base Batteries never paid.

Ah yeah true. All incredible drivers in those series, no f3-gp2 or w/e series rejects because they werent good enough there.

But seriously, the drivers in both A1gp as well as Superleague formula are barely good enugh for GP2 let alone formula 1. This only proves our point of Karthikeyan not being good enough

Karthikeyan in the last race did a 4 stop stratergy and was .5 seconds off pedro in the finish line who did a 3 stop stratergy.Karthikeyan fastest lap was .5 seconds faster than pedro in race pace.Dont u feel this data gathered was of some use to HRT.

Honestly,"KARTHIKEYAN IS AS GOOD AS HRT".

by the time hrt has a mid field car-->"HRT CAN HAVE SUTIL".
by the time hrt has a race winning car-->"HRT CAB HAVE A VETTEL".

The guy brings all the money to the team for christ sake, why would u hate him so much.

Narain Karthikeyan was the first to win for Carlin Motorsports in F3 in 1999,team for which Button,Kubica,Vettel,Rosberg raced, give him some support and he might just score hrt's first points.

No one hates Karthikeyan. We are pointing out that he's struggling to match the pace of his team mate who I don't consider to being particularly quick. His problem is that if he's being outqualified and outraced by De La Rosa and He's not bringing the sponsorship his days are numbered at HRT.

Agreed there is no hate for Narain, he just isn't doing what he should be doing, he should be matching de la Rosa especially as he has figured more recently in F1.
