Those adds will need time to build a truly competitive car but I hope they can learn something from 2018 and in 2019 they should be a decent car. At the beginning of this season the car wan´t that terrible so hopefully next year will be better. They will have two young and talented drivers so I am sure they will push for it.

To find a PU works partner would be essential but I am afraid the time for do it for 2021 its over. Isn´t it?

Thank you for the answers guys. =D>

Time for 2021 PU is not over if you are already in talks, the problem is the manufacturer to enter F1. 8)
There will not be a works PU partnership for a long time. They just got out of one and you're already dreaming for the next one? Why do you think the next one would be any different than the last one? Renault have always been very fair with the teams they're partnering with. We just need them to up their PU game. They also make for a good measuring stick which is what was sorely missing before.

I don't think there will be new PU reg for atleast another 5 years.
Maybe in 10 years time when their Automotive business is booming and they've nestled into a good management with plenty of sponsors, they can build their own engines with Ricardo or Ilmor. Right now they can use some stability. Especially with the PU.

Updated: shows Norris helmet and number, mirror mounted on halo, front wing recolour and extra vane on top of sidepod under horizontal element. Should I do a side on version?
(the number is a mix of 14 and 47 in the middle, no disrespect to jules)

These are quite nice. Can you do a full version of the car with new regs but raised sidepod with no aero elements on top?

Do we know when will it be ?

Not at this stage.

RBR said they will not let him go earlier. Someone posted a few weeks ago that there is a rumor that he can start after 6 months from giving notice to RBR. Not sure how accurate that is ??
It's based on the usual duration of gardening leave according to EU laws. Might have some merit.
It's a F1 rule.

With a VPN service he doesn't need to be in person and work via internet and skype. That rule is stupid.

Nice. However the sidepods wouldn't protrude as much once the oil and other ancillary coolers are moved above, like Redbull. Still nice.

Without it he could be asked to work for STR for the remainder of the contract(work from home /VPN). He has several years left on his contract. So not sure what's stupid about it.

I think even "gardening leave" is not allowed by EU rules. When a contract ends, you're free to do as you please. All those stuff you normally have in your contacts "you can't work for a direct competitor for a year" is non-enforceable. What can be forbidden to take any (intellectual) proporties to your next job.

This gardening leave must be and only can be a gentlemen's agreement between the teams. If they would fight it at the European court of human rights, you would win with ease.

Gardening leave rules are open to interpretation, depending on how much IP you carry and also whether long periods of leave would be detrimental to your propects of getting a new job.

In this case, you can safely assume EU rules will be of no help.

You can only be put on gardening leave when you have a contract and, in Key's case, by Toro Rosso, who have to pay him for the duration of this period. When a contract expires, you, as a company, have no say anymore what your ex-employee does from that point.

Correct. The only question is, when does the contract expire.

You will no doubt find the answer to be: at the end of the gardening leave ;)

It was also reported, though I can't remember where, that he has an out clause for 2019.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Beyond the standard 6 months...I still don't get why they would want to continue to pay him, for doing basicly nothing, just to spite McLaren. Not like STR have money to burn.
