Max asked for more power in the closing laps to which the reply was negative, something to the effect stick to the strategy. Albon on the sky interview said he was managing something but was very cryptic. Anybody have any idea what these were about?

New week, new expectations. Finally we will see what Spec 4 with fuel upgrade can deliver. We thought Austria would be an average race, they won. We thought Silverstone would be painful, and they got the pace. Maybe Sochi will be that type of race. Weekend can't come soon enough

At this point who cares.. not likely that RBR will catch Ferrari in Constructors. If they take an extra a PU at the right track, they'll probably still finish 5th and 6th...

So they have a big window to experiment with.

The remaining challenge this year is to perform well at Suzuka.

And try to have as much or more win than Ferrari. They are one down for now

Although Red Bull didn't get what team wanted from Singapore, Max Verstappen came in third and ended the weekend with a podium.

Speaking after the race, Christian Horner said that Red Bull's pace were not fall behind the Ferrari.

"It was literally a breathtaking race. We chose the right strategy with a pit stop on the same lap as Sebastian Vettel. Max spent some time behind Nico on the exit lap, and maybe it would have been in front of Leclerc if it wasn't happened. We took advantage of the strategy mistake of mercedes and won a podium. "

"You know, it's always easy to make logical comments after the race. At that moment, no one could imagine the safety car going out on the runway several times in the second half of the race. The safety car slowed down tire wear, so Mercedes' plan didn't work."

"I have repeatedly said that it is very difficult to choose the right moment for a single pit stop in Singapore. When it came time to increase the speed, Mercedes could not do this because the pace of the tires had fallen. Strategies are understandable, but you can never be sure that a safety car will come out in such a situation."

"Apparently, we couldn't really pick the best settings in the qualifying rounds. The team found exactly what was wrong yesterday. But we weren't slower than Ferrari in the race. Everything was determined by how the grid was at a certain point."

"Alexander Albon was also great at his first Singapore Grand Prix. Here we can say that we minimize losses against very strong opponents."

Good luck with that, Ferrari really found something. They have Merc scared. They order Bottas to slow down and not get in front of Hamilton.

That was actually to cover off Albon who would have also passed by and would wreck Lewis tyres trying to overtake Albon. So Bottas was asked to slow down and keep Albon with him

Max: 'We will hopefully improve in Russia'

Max Verstappen looks forward to the Russian Grand Prix, this weekend in Sochi: “I was happy to be on the podium in Singapore and the team made some good strategy calls in the race, but I’m looking forward to Russia where there are more overtaking opportunities.”

Max continues: “The track layout isn’t that amazing for us but it’s unique as most of the corners are 90 degrees which we don’t usually experience and it’s always challenging to go from high speed straights into low speed corners and get the best out of the car under braking. It’s a pretty flat track and you can see quickly if the car is working well through the more challenging corners. Ferrari were very quick in Singapore and the straights in Sochi will suit them, but I have a few ideas about our performance last weekend that we’ll analyse and hopefully improve on in Russia.”
It is the first time for Alex here so it is not an easy track/weekend for him.

So is the new fuel coming in Russia?
"We started well with a podium in Australia," Marko looks back to the cooperation with Honda to Motorsport.com so far. “We had some minor problems with the chassis on our side, so we weren't at the level we wanted to sit on. But we have further developed the car and the Honda engine has also been given more power step by step. They delivered what they had promised us. We were driving a new engine in Singapore and getting a new fuel for Suzuka. It is definitely the goal to win in Japan. "Marko says how important a win would be in Honda's home race:" Our first goal was to win races and a win over Suzuka would of course be the top. It is a circuit that suits Max well and it is the home race of Honda, so what could be better than that? ”

Why do you only place a link without saying what it is about?
Without knowing what it is about, we have to read first a very long article.
It would be nice if you had just added an important quote from the article.
