Apparently Mercedes will run a special livery for Niki this weekend. Words and Graphics on the car in a tribute to Niki.

I hope everyone in the team wear red caps or something.

It seems Niki's death has had a big impact on Lewis!
Hamilton had been due to appear in Wednesday's press conference alongside Charles Leclerc, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Robert Kubica, but a request was submitted for him to be excused in light of Lauda's death.

"We asked for Lewis to be excused earlier today following Niki's death," a Mercedes spokesperson confirmed.

"We ask for your understanding in the circumstances that Lewis lost a very close friend in Niki fewer than two days ago."

Will Hamilton's performance this weekend be affected by Lauda's death? He might become withdrawn, which gives Bottas an excellent opportunity. Or he might become determined to "do it for Niki" and totally monster the weekend.

Lewis will be Lewis, he's gonna be fully motivated to 'win the race for Niki'.

Absolutely love the tributes by Mercedes. The Halo is a fantastic idea and to run one three pointed star red is also just outstanding! I don't know who comes up with these ideas in the team but they deserve a huge round of applause.

That's the cost of two laptops Hamilton will have to reimburse the team! They screwed up but I'm glad Hamilton did it in the end, it was going to wind up as he said, either a crash or a victory.
Countdown to 91: 7 more victories ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can anyone explain the pit fiasco.
Bottas holding the pack up for double stack. Did merc cock up the pitstop for Bottas or was RBR extremely faster? Don't get it how they lost 2nd place there...

Both Merc stops were slow, Hamilton had a 2.9s and Bottas a 3.0s while Verstappen's was only 2.4s. Had Mercedes been another tenth or two faster he would have made it out no problem.

Split second decisions....it's just how it sometimes goes....

In the end it was some good racing and entertainment relieving us from a boring race.

So not a fiasco, just everybody taking there chances. Some get through with it and some get a penalty.
We just have to take the judges on their 'variable' judging each race.

Verstappen took a 5 second hit, his bad luck
Last year Sirotkin took a 5 second penalty for delaying, Bottas escaped his penalty, his good luck
In the end the winner was Vettel, moving into 2nd.

Shame Bottas got the puncture, I was looking forwards to a record breaking 6th 1-2 finish.

I remember Lewis caught up with the SC at Mirabeau.

The reason why Valtteri didn't get a penalty was that the sc was nowhere near to them. They just caught it after the pit stops, maybe at the Casino Square.
