In what has been a trend all season, McLaren pretty low on the speed traps on Friday’s... Nevertheless, they are much closer on Saturday’s, maybe an indication that they run their engines lower to protect them? That would explain the big jump that is normally made between Friday’s and Saturday’s and based on what seemed like a decent Quali Sim in FP2 hopefully bodes well for tomorrow:

Ye, very bad luck. At least, it's only FP3, he will do it when it counts.

Fantastic news that Mclaren feels confident enough about the new nose that is willing to run it for the rest of the weekend with Lando... Knowing that is part of a larger package and probably not optimized for the current one, it is interesting that it seems to work well with the current one.

Both cars in Q2... It will be tight to get into Q3 with both cars.

I am confident that both cars will be in Q3. They are fast enough. On another note I have seen Seidl's interview and I will agree that on average we are 4th fastest but the car's advantage compared to Renault and Racing Point is the fact that it is consistent. The other cars can either be 3rd fastest or 6th fastest and that is an advantage we must use till the full package we are bringing step by step delivers. I'm not sure if we finish 3rd or 4th but it's a two year race (though personally I believe the team will finish 3rd).

Red flag in Q2, both cars in position to move to Q3... The Renault’s, especially Daniel are fast... Half a second faster than Carlos on that first Q2 lap is a huge difference.

Possibility for Hamilton to be out of Qualifying in P15 could be interesting for tomorrow’s race... Let’s see what happens

We shal see in Q3 as Q3 is the time that counts.Sainz didn't had a clean lap after all especially when he rally turned that last turn.

P6 and P8. That's about right for us this weekend. Going to be tight tomorrow, fingers crossed for some gains.

2 tenths is the difference in Sochi so far. Tomorrow I am confident Sainz will destroy both Perez and Ricciardo at the start just as he did in Mugello. Norris didn't go that well with the new updates. Perhaps some more testing need to be done with them.

P6 and P8... Not a “great” result... But pretty solid qualifying session with both cars in Q3 and splitting the Renault’s... Some luck with Stroll not making it to Q3 and now a matter of finishing the job tomorrow in the race.
