I did not say what is making the car heavy. Just pointed out the FIA to focus on reducing the car weight.
What route they take for it is for them to come up with. Be it tyre size, gear box length, turbo position, width of fuel cell, all avenues to reduce the weight
Your focus was on the PU, and spoke of "pure racing of 750hp". So I thought you were connecting the weight with the PU.
Gear box length has a negligible effect on total mass, as does turbo position and width of fuel cell. The heavier wheels and tires increase the mass of the brake rotors necessary to stop them, and the hubs and suspension needed to hold them to the chassis. The mass of the front wheel/tire combo increased so dramatically that the FIA had to double the front wheel thether in hoping to keep it connected to the car in collisions. The bigger, heavier wheel tire combo increased the mass of the cars more than the mass of 35kg battery pack which has helped lower the mass of the fuel load down to 70kg per race.
