Well done Maverick Vinales & the re-organised factory Yamaha team, for dominating the Dutch TT @ Assen.

From practice through pole to a splendid victory (Yamaha's 1st this season), a really excellent result.

Credit too, to M.M., for showing mindfully strategic maturity, & accepting 2nd (with a 44 point lead in the
Championship), rather than a 'win it, or bin it' race, like he'd be prone to riding, in days past.
The factory Yamaha squad wasn't on pole?

I guess he meant the manufacturer (Yamaha) who had been disapeared this season, both the factory and satellite teams

Glad to see all four manufacturers in the mix

Oh I thought when he said the factory Yamaha team, he meant the factory Yamaha team.

And yeah, we should have 4 manufacturers in the running for a win again this weekend. Let's hope Aprilia can step up next year and maybe even KTM too

More likely to see KTM in the mix than Aprilia to be honest...

I've embraced Formula E since season 1 but I'm not sure if I could like MotoE. :/

Seconded MotoE was awesome. Dare I say better race than MotoGP? Moto2 was good too.

Generally Moto2 & Moto3 always put a great show. MotoGP occassionally puts a great show (unless when Marquez wins).

This season is starting to be like one of Doohan's championship years & 990cc/800cc years (the former is lot more worse, coming from a lifelong Honda fan since the Spencer days. Only supported Honda because I grew up riding their bikes).

Can't disagree. MotoGP is a bit like F1 but I note the fans are way more vocal in putting F1 down than they are MotoGP. Perhaps because we can see the riders vs the F1 drivers hidden in the car. Perhaps it's because we spectacular riding a la Marc Marquez.

yeah, the dynamics are so different. I think you could compare MotoGP better with something like DTM, the bikes look like what you can ride on the road and because of how bikes work (with the high center of gravity), forces, speeds and stuff is less alien then F1, where forces go times 5 of that of road cars. MotoGP is relatable while F1 is just beyond anything we could ever experience.

Moto3 always delivers.
