Maybe changing the chassis with mounting solutions for the vibration issues (instead of the current bandaids), and/or changing those rear suspension mounts to the rear wing pylons? Will see.

I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that modifying the ICE mounts to eliminate vibrations is similar to a combination of balancing wheels and tuning a guitar. You wouldn't really notice the difference in the final product unless you knew what to look for.

Maybe the suspension but they've changed those in regular upgrades....

Uh, what? It doesn't need to explain it. One big update to better use the resources, as they said. They'll probably bring smaller ones as they evaluate it.

I said it earlier, but Alonso should do either two more years or retire now. It is pointless to race one more year when next year will be another transition year.

their free end may be a different diameter.The six mounting faces of the studs for connection to the survival cell must lie at [XPU, Y,Z]=[0, ±270, 25], [0, ±360, 270] and [0, ±190, 440]. All six of these studs must be used.

The four mounting faces of the studs for connection to the gearbox case must lie at [XPU, Y,
Z]=[480, ±125, 25] and [480, ±265, 360]. All four of these studs must be used. Optionally, an

The bolts that connect the ICE to the chassis are connected to the ICE mounts. Those bars that come off the ICE and form a triangle over the heads are Engine mounts. The connect to the chassis on one side and the gearbox on the there. Apparently they can make minor size changes to those bars in spots and it absorbs vibrations. That what I read anyways.

honda are going to need to find more than +/_ 70hp. with the changes for 27-28 the ICE is going up even further. hopefully the fact that honda voted for it means that they believe itll help as opposed to leaving them further behind.

FYI you can generate the ± symbol by using holding down alt key and entering 241.... ° symbol is alt-248.

Regarding engine:

- Audi brought the first ADUO in Spain. A bit of gain, not so much
- Ferrari will bring in Austria the first ADUO, less than 10 HP, and probably another one less than 10HP
- Mercedes will bring reliability upgrade for engine

Honda has split the team:
- They are working already on the 27' engine given all the issues, power down, weight etc... compare to the other
- And they will bring only one ADUO upgrade. They won't use the other one.

They speak about a "reasonable upgrade" but not a game changer: My prediction is that this B version of the engine will improve every aspect, and bring only 20HP to the engine.

Then there is the chassis upgrade as well, but the most realistic is to fight with Williams at best, and beat Cadillac.
I don't expect much.

Sadly I expect 2027 to fight for the points and not more. I have more confidence for 2028/2029

No way they won't use both ADUO upgrades, especially knowing that the second one only needs to be submitted next year by march 31 IIRC.

This is what Shintaro Orihara declared. They will only do one engine upgrade this year arround summer.

that seems like a huge waste. the aduo also comes with extra money, which theyre almost definitely gonna need.given the timing of the updates and the need to redesign things for 27 maybe it just doesnt make sense. it remains to be seen how a team can recover from such a deficit under this cost cap. theyre down by 30 mph (50kph) on the straight here, which just sounds bizarre. up until now the teams and fia seemed pretty sympathetic to hondas situation but if newey brings a killer b-spec thatll probably change

can they take the money for the 27 engine without bringing the second aduo upgrade? these rules seem like a complete cluster #$%^. its like theyre making things up as they go

They are not even trying, just waiting for the B-spec. Will the new chassis/aero package be at Spa or Hungary? And the engine? Maybe after the summer break...

I understand that for Alonso doesn't matter if 8th or 22nd. But end of the year in points is matter a lot in every aspect. In F1 and overall in competition motorsport, if you bring nothing, you learn nothing! Doesn't matter how good is the windtunnel, cfd etcetera. You need real test and confirmation about the package and new parts. But who could this know better than Aston from the past 2 years of fails,not working parts,correlation issues

They still have a lot of drivability issues they need to solve. They can address those through software. Software can be changed as needed until qualifying, so I'm sure they're working on it. I'm just not sure how much driver time that will take up during FP.

They had such a long time, almost summer brake and still cant complate a race because of gearbox, because of engine, because of battery, because of blabla.
