Average pitstop times this season. Embarassing frankly. We need to up our game.

I think Ferrari is a little bit slower on total pit stop time, but that average is increased a lot by a few factors: Miami certainly had slower pit stops for both, Carlos has almost half the pit stops of other drivers (this has impact due to the slower pit stops having more weight), Ferrari had to change a front wing in a pit stop in Imola.

fastest pitstops per race per driver:
Bahrain: SAI 2.33 LEC 2.54 - VER 2.62 PER 2.63
Jeddah: SAI 2.70 LEC 2.62 - VER 2.60 PER 2.53
Australia: SAI - LEC 2.71 - VER 2.90 PER 2.27
Imola: SAI - LEC 2.48 - VER 2.34 PER 2.29
Miami: slow both - VER 2.49 PER 2.33

It doesn't scream much like anything to me. Anyway what matters more is the total time in the pits and you can find those timings here:

Ferrari penalty: four engines will be used on the F1-75s

https://www.formu1a.uno/penalita-ferrar ... ro-motori/

Austria will most likely be the choice for the 3rd unit but I'm wondering where they will take the penalty. Monza would be the obvious choice as a power sensitive track but a) home race and b) it's difficult to overtake there. It all hinges on what track replaces Russia then because Singapore is also a bad place to take a penalty

All this is also complicated by the ERS upgrades and when exactly they'll arrive
I would say Monza and Mexico. Mercedes was dominating last year with new engine, it was a big difference. And this are also RB tracks (Monza with this year characteristic, and Mexico like forever), so they will probably win here anyway.

Interesting question with interesting answers.

This reminds of last year at the Mexican GP. File it under things that are not going to happen.

So is there any confirmation on if Ferrari did introduce a new ERS in Miami? I heard Ted Kravitz reference an Alfa having a new Ferrari PU with upgraded ERS during the race, so presumed it was confirmed.

They used a new MGU-K but Ferrari also said they'll introduce a new version of ERS as late as possible.

Ferrari needs a better wing when the DRS is open with lower drag like the RB one. I hope this will be the case and not this airbrake that i see in the image.

Any high downforce wing will look like an airbrake, but that does not exclude an effective DRS flap, both are possible at the same time

Fastest pitstops are meaningless when the team suffer several slow pitsotps. Carlos has had some, again, last one was 5.4 seconds if my memory serve me well. That ruins any average.

I know and I also wrote the same thing. The original comment was talking about "embarassing" and that's not what happened. And besides the fastest ones I also linked all the others from the f1 website, did you go check that too before commenting?

Spain is a high downforce track and Ferrari certainly knows what they are doing. I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt after leading both championships.
