Ferrari F1-75

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

What's the source of the rumours?
Nugnes, who is totally unreliable
Ah. I would prefer people stop posting Nunges here
He is unreliable, but I think the updates are reasonable and more or less what everyone expected. We will know soon enough.

The floor together with some other small bits and weight reduction will surely be on for this weekend.

Rear wing main plane looks flatter than the mid df package

The RW looks huge, the other bits i can't tell with a naked eye.
Sidepod more or less looks the same.

Over the last couple of years we've grown accostumed to things like updated floors having very obvious changes to their edge layout, with the current "fix porpoising priority" a updated floor might not be so easy to diferentiate from it's predecessor.

Flat high downforce wing with a bigger DRS flap, good that they adapted, that should be "free" time gained on the straights. Remains to be seen what the new medium/low downforce wings will look like, the DRS issue was much worse with those

Is it me or do the FW flaps have a different profile between one side and the other?

The device to open the DRS is different, too.
No more 3rd central hinge for DRS.

I don't see the stay that connects to the floor. Do you think they still need to mount it or is this a new floor and the stay is gone?

Not seeing anything majorly different around the floor area from those few shots (obviously we'll have more to come), but there could be some potential changes under it which none of us could see... barring one of the cars getting picked-up by a tow truck!

Also, might just be the images... but there was chatter about a new, lighter paint; Could just be the sun reflecting on the car, but it does look different and a more vibrant shade of Red compared to the last few Grand Prix...

The floor looks the same as always but it no longer has the tie rod, so either it has been stiffened and maybe modified only underneath (unlikely, in my opinion) or they haven't mounted the new one yet.

After all, if the changes were limited to the rear wing it would be disappointing.

I think we should still see the attachment point if the tie rod was just not assembled. I do not see it, but I may be missing it. We will know for sure tomorrow.
Also, they need to declare which new parts they are bringing tomorrow.

Rear end of bodywork looks slimmer. It is new.
