Alonso with the Telegraaf:
“I first have to see whether I can determine for myself whether I am still fully motivated and can conform to a team for a few more years. Driving in Formula 1 requires total dedication. If I continue, talking to Aston Martin is the top priority. I feel at home here and believe in this project. But if we don't reach an agreement, then I will be in a privileged position. I showed last year that I am still fast and of the three world champions on the grid, I am the only one who is still available for 2025.”

Fallows says the goal for the season is to continue scoring points and podiums and to continue looking for their first victory in green

Mark Hughes:
"The common assumption used to be that F1 drivers couldn’t be competitive into their forties. It was always rubbish, but Alonso has proved it now."

"There will be plenty now who believe it’s impossible for Alonso to find a route to another world title. He won’t be too concerned about that."
I share his sentiment   maybe not this season but who knows...

All the right looks visually. Aggressive on the suspension, aggressive on the sidepods and cooling, revised wings. Question will just be if the time follows.

Of course, Briatore will unofficialy go see all the paddock but Mercedes in priority to check the possibilities or not.

And the other side: I'm quite convinced that Alonso is honnest with AMR being priority. If the car is not a dog this year, there are no reasons to go to Mercedes, for a car let's say about the same level.

If AM continues to go back like end 2023... for sure it will change his mind. I wonder if 2026 Honda is something good or not for him also.

So they gained 6 tenths on Abu Dhabi spec, according to Stroll; he compared to Mclaren (3 tenths faster than the best Aston in AD qualifying)), they closed those 3 tenths and added 3 further tenths.

Motorsport Italia (Gianluca D'Alessandro) is also reporting the Stroll six tenths quote, albeit not in the exact same way
“It depends on what McLaren did during the winter. So it's very difficult to make predictions, but I hope to recover the 3 tenths and find another three,” added the Canadian.

If really, 6 tenths that might not be enough to keep up with McLaren and Mercedes.
If those teams had found the same time, they'd be 3 tenths ahead of Aston Martin again and closer to RB.

He’s a bitter old man. Great driver, but it’s beyond embarrassing now the stuff with LH. He’s desperate now is Alonso, so I can see one last gamble, if Mercedes bite.

As for Aston, I see they still think everyone stands still why they make ground. Expect them to be no better than fourth or fifth, and it appears Alonso thinks the same, hence his comments.
