If the changes to the bottom are significant, then the side pontoons and engine hood will be changed. But this is just a guess. Perhaps something else will be changed mechanically, but we are unlikely to see this in the official sheet. It seems that only aerodynamics are specified there. Although the same brake air ducts can be changed.
Yes I think it will be the usual middle of car change. Will we see the Red Bull "Shoulders" on top of the engine cover creating another waterslide to the Rear and Beam wing? Who knows. It would be interesting if it is there.

If this is an all around change that will improve downforce in all areas (When the floor is fed and maintained well) then this car will be frighteningly fast in the high speed corners.
So far I have the same thoughts about this. And regarding the speed in fast corners: now only Red Bull is ahead of us in this component?
In the high speeds, are Red Bull faster? I think we are at least equal there I think.

Hope they will present something of their own, not a Red Bull copy.
The team often says that they have a good technical staff.

I'm happy with anything that works. I dont care if it is inspired by a Dustbin 🤣

UPVC cladding? Are Mclaren venturing into the highly competitive soffit and fascia industry??
They've a Carbon Fibre based Double Glazing company on the side, trying to make up until Mastercard arrive.

In the AMuS article it say that this is part of the Imola upgrade that has been released early.

This is what I was suggesting previously and that they might have just brought the parts they figured wouldn't need much of a setup change.

We're yet to see if this is the truth, but if AMuS is saying this then it bodes well.
Thats good...little worried that introducing a new front wing (one particularly focused on fixing low speed rotation) would instill some balance changes that would require more than one fp1 to understand.

It's quite long.

"At Mercedes and McLaren, however, production of part of the Imola package was brought forward.

In both cases, we expect that the underbody and the cladding will be worked on. Ideally, progress should also be noticeable on the watch. Whether it's enough to gain positions in the ranking is, of course, another matter. Some teams have also managed to bring forward parts of the Imola package in midfield. We expect innovations especially from Toro Rosso and Sauber."

Ex. McLaren staff always seem to have very small gardens
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Don't worry, he didn't learn much about the car. Plus he has his own vision, so he won’t take a lot of useful information to Alpine.

It honestly seemed more like David didnt really fit anywhere at McLaren now so they were happy to let him go.

Pointless to enforce a gardening leave.

Very punchy, considering how conservative his comments were pre-season. Not just from Stella though, this optimism is coming from several within the team. The numbers must look really good back at the factory.

That's how it should be. It's time to take the next step forward.

It’s punchy, but suggests more to do with the future gains than this specific upgrade, and 12 months time we’ll be prepping for a new rule set, so it’s a bit deflating too- but that’s the game! Doesn’t happen overnight.

So Andrian Newey is officially over at Red Bull and possibly agreed with Ferrari. One thing I dont understand is why doesnt Mclaren try to at least make him an offer to silence all the bad mouthing. People are claiming that Newey doesnt go to Mclaren because he doesnt believe they have the resources to be champions again.
Because they don't want to disturb the team they have and they have faith in the team.

It is just rehashing what Stella said at the start of the year. 1 year to resolve the issues means 1 year to catch Red Bull.

On another note, why haven't we seen the car yet
