Dating old Goodyear F1 slick tyre

Post

Hey there.

I've just moved into an old house (1950s build). It was probate and so there is a lot of stuff left behind, including this GoodYear slick F1 tyre. All my searches are bringing up more recent tyres with EAGLE on them, I can't find anything without Eagle written on the tyre. The GoodYear logo looks more vintage too.

The codes on the tyre:

ER-17B
95/23 0-12

It needs cleaning up as was found in the shed, but my understanding is these are collectable items for F1 fans. Plan to sell.

If anyone has any information I'd be appreciative.

Thank you so much for coming back to me. That's hugely helpful. The 1970s would seem the right sort of era too, given the age of the chap that lived here previously.

Thanks

I’d recommend dating people instead of tyres.

Sorry I’ll leave now.

You need a different compound of rubber for that.
