Flavio now is the full boss.

Doohan will be replaced by Colapinto
I bet we had a little tug of war between Oakes and Briatore on this topic and Flavio came out on top, now he's in full control.

What a disruption and Briatore back!
I am very looking forward to see the Netflix on this. Did they now sack Oakes for not sacking Doohan?

I assume Briatore was always going to be the boss once again.

Inevitable outcome called months ago. Colapinto was poor at Williams, and very costly. Second and last chance in F1.

I think COL have got more potential than DOO

But also not cool to not give at least a full season to DOO

The Briatore style. Do you remember how was Trulli mid-season swaped for Villeneuve?

Not the only example, Schumacher came in for Moreno, in 94 second Benetton had a rotating door of drivers.
And a few others, Alesi and Button amongst the names he wanted to replace, escaped because they had really expensive contracts.

Well, in the past rotating drivers was much easier. They were running hundreds of laps in testing every week, so the driver could be quickly prepared. Today this is next level without testing. Will be difficult for Col....

Oakes quit over, I presume because, it wasn't his choice to swap drivers and as team principle it's his choice.

He was the Boss before, he's just the Boss and the employee now.

Oakes resignation might be for personal reasons, unrelated to Alpine.

I just finished Autoracer's stream and they discussed this a bit.

As far as they're aware, it really was for personal reasons and there was no major conflict between Oakes and Briatore. They had similar visions for the team. Oakes was never a fan of Doohan and he wanted to swap Colapinto in as soon as possible. He and Doohan's team had arguments recently, so the media outlets suggesting the reason Oakes left was because he disagreed with the swap were wrong. It's also wrong that he was looking to replace Horner, or at least no one reputable in the paddock was discussing this aside from tabloid journalists.

Colapinto kind of leaving where he left off.

He has to learn how to back off a touch instead of going straight to limit from the start.
