Which turns will be flat? 1? maybe on entry, 2 & 3? Impossible. 4? Maybe in qualifying 5, definitely. 6? No way, 7 very likely, 8 & 9, impossible. What about turn 10? That may be flat in qualifying, but not in the race. 11 & 12 impossible, but how early will they be flat through 13? The rest of the turns are impossible to take flat, but turn 16 will definitely sort the men from the boys.

Does this go all the way up the grid? Could the change in tarmac give starters further back an advantage?

Giovinazzi on Ferrari next year might be a too big step. If raikkonen doesn't get a new contract I'd rather sign a solid second driver (Groesjan?) and try to put Giovinazzi in a Ferrari powered car (Haas? Someone else?).

If Giovinazzi delivers I am pretty sure that he will go to Haas or Sauber in 2018. As you have said, the jump to Ferrari is too big for a newcomer.

Regarding this week's race, I now have a better understanding of what the weather will be like specifically for each day. Saturday will be dry(like I said 10 days ago), the big changes are that we may not get much rain on Friday, so that P1 will be on a damp track, and P2 will be in muggy conditions, maybe some light drizzle. The track will be greasy, but dry tires will most likely be used.

For Sunday the rain is expected to happen in the morning, so the race will most likely start with a wet track, with changing conditions predicted. It could rain intermittently or simply light rain where a dry line can form, it's going to be a very chaotic race.

it true, this fact will massively affect race strategies and pecking order (low drag car should be higly competitive) becoming actually the single most
important factor in discussing the race...while I see almost nothing about this...
