Ham proves again he's the best on-wet driver right now.

Literally what the damn hell are Ferrari doing with Raikkonen?
Seriously, they've sacrificed him so many times this year, but what is their excuse this time?

I was talking about qualifying where the 3 pu is less relevant. Azerbaijan in particular comes to mind because if you compare 2017 vs 2018 pole side by side, the 2018 car loses around 0.8s in the final straight. I've seen troughout this season top speeds have dropped somewhat compared to 2017 and there really isn't that many other reasons apart from the halo adding drag directly or indirectly trough DF loss and having to compensate with dirty and inefficient downforce. I could be wrong ofcourse, it just seemed sensible.
Using that Azerbaijan example the Vmax deficit was mainly due to the wind. There are other reasons for it which I listed.

Do you think that they destroyed his Qualifying on purpose, or what? What would their benefit be?

The rrrrrrrrain gods were with the rrrrrrrrrrrrain master! What a pole lap Lewis drove.
That was properly exciting qualifying.

Its sad for Kimi though. I thought he was going to grab pole today.

Mercedes running more wing it seems - consistently slower in S1 and S3, quicker in S2. Bit of rain and Hamilton gets the pole. Bit of a disappointing result for those of us who want the championship to go to the wire, but points aren't awarded on a Saturday so there's hope for tomorrow.

I was being sarcastic. You've answered your own question - THERE IS NO BENEFIT TO BEING INCOMPETENT.
