Scuderia Ferrari SF90

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

The 2019 coolers are ever so slightly thinner than the 2018 ones.

Why no updates on the car? :( :( #-o
Not for Melbourne, not for 2nd test while others are barraging with updates. Merc with Ferrari style fw and RB bringing China updates.

There is many interpretations (depends on who is your team :) ):

- they are so confident they don't need them to rush them out (more time in tunel :))
- they are incompetent and can not build them
- they have something ultra new and bring it to FP3 to minimize copying
- they actually have tons of updates, but they are under the hood

Chose what you like the most :)

i would like to choose option 1 - "- they are so confident they don't need them to rush them out (more time in tunel :))"
Because compared to all the other cars Ferrari Seems to be very very neat.. no extra fins here and there no extra terrestrial body work and extremely complex looking body etc.. Compared to the Mercs and RBR. The Whole Concept looks very very clean. And Ferrari Not disturbing the cleanness show confidence they have on thier machine.

Look at Mercs Bringing Ferrari styled front wing and the amount of wings they have here and there on thier car. And RBR and thier fast tracked thier Aero Upgrade. And Ferrari Still keeping it simple and no visible updates.

I see confidence in Ferrari Camp

Is the front wing new, or is the absence of mission winnow on the top two playing tricks on me?

It's the same wing, the sponsor names are just removed.

Wow interesting brake drums this year, I don’t think I’ve seen that before?

Also, looks like some work has been done in the bargeboard area no?

Looks like part of brakeduct is directing air otwards through channel. Something ala blown wheel hub. Brilliant

Could it be venting hot air from inside the brake drum out through the hub? It looks like the air would originate from the slot on the right hand side.
