True Merhi never put a penny in Manor, actually in Spain we all thought he only would race on first 1-2 GPs, so it was a surprise for us watching him racing until now
Manor has given priority to its paying driver Will Stevens when it comes to “parts and strategy”.
And that has been very noticeable, not sure about the reason, but he said his PU was constantly underperforming when compared to his team mate. There was only one GP when he said from FP it was performing well, and he almost lap Stevens in that GP. Not sure what GP was that (Monaco?), but that was first and last time his PU performed similar to Stevens

Stevens is paying millions to be there, of course he would get the first call on replacement parts.

And he still has issues beating his teammate!

Do you think the same about Maldonado?

F1 teams usually try to be fastest posible, and that would imply best driver to receive best parts.

Anycase I also think Manor is so far behind no driver will solve their pace deficit, so probably money is more important for them

Exactly. Who ever drives for them this year, it's a waste of talent. Being so far off the pace, there is no real racing for them to do either. To only thing a driver gains is the experience of being in F1, working with the team etc.

Let's hope they a) survive the winter, and b) have a much much better car next year.

Quite true, but, that in itself can be invaluable. Also if word in pit lane is that a guy is easy to work with ,, gives good feedback.. and he shows that he has talent and composure under such a daunting situation, he can hope that when the time comes the right ear will have heard.

Dunno if this is true, but I think it would be great to have a talent like Gros at Haas.

"Renault Sport's Cyril Abiteboul has revealed that Romain Grosjean will join the new Haas F1 Team next season.

Grosjean's contract with Lotus runs until the end of the 2015 season, but the Enstone squad are facing an uncertain future with Renault reportedly on the verge of taking the team over and running it as a works outfit next year.

The Frenchman, though, has been linked with a move to the American-based Haas F1 and he admitted during Thursday's press conference in Singapore that he had made a decision about his future, but is not yet ready to make it public.

However, Renault Sport F1 managing director Abiteboul got ahead of him as he confirmed to French channel Canal that Grosjean will join Haas F1 ahead of the 2016 season.

Haas F1 have previously admitted that they will opt for one of Esteban Gutierrez or Jean-Eric Vergne, who are both Ferrari reserves this year, and another experienced driver."

Read that the Team will be live on Sky Sports Digital Platform at 4pm UK time. I guess that will be SkySports News as there is nothing listed on the F1 Channel.

Awesome! Good to see haas get a relatively solid driver and not just a pay driver.
