Well looks like we have a new Ayrton Senna on the making.

Kimi's confidence keeps growing, Russell's keeps fading. If this doesn't turn around very soon George has no future in this team.

Yep. Time is running out. I wouldn’t want him on the team if he loses to Kimi.

RUS 4 tenths behind ANT in a 72s lap, in equal machinery. That's .5% deficit. A clear 'talent-gap'.
Reminds me of what Max did to Ricciardo. Second driver forcing the first driver to become the second driver.

Yeah this is a good parallel. Just like with Ricciardo and Vettel, I think George was overrated because of his performance vs a past his peak Lewis. The talent gap between Kimi and George is real and getting wider all the time. This isn't a Lando v Oscar situation where both drivers are pretty evenly matched. Kimi is a teenager who's already one of those guys who can pull more from the car than its capable of like peak Lewis was or Max still is. George is a solid veteran who's had a decent career so far but he's the same age as Max and hasn't ever been a legitimate contender until now.

This is a confidence issue for George, not a talent gap. They're on opposite ends of the momentum spectrum and it's exacerbating the gap on track.

That's why I mentioned what would Lewis be like now vs George in the W17 since this is no longer the ground effect era.
